Psychology Teacher - Maternity Cover (KS4 & KS5)
Location: Bolton
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Maternity Cover (until end of academic year)
Pay: £155 - £230 per day (depending on experience)
School Rating: Ofsted Good
Are you a passionate Psychology Teacher looking for a rewarding new role from January 2026?
We're recruiting on behalf of a Good-rated secondary school in Bolton seeking a dedicated teacher to cover a maternity post teaching Psychology across KS4 and KS5.
The successful candidate will join a high-achieving, well-resourced department that values creativity, collaboration, and student engagement. There may also be elements of Health & Social Care within the timetable, so experience or confidence in this area would be highly desirable.
The Role-
Teach Psychology (and potentially some Health & Social Care) across KS4 and KS5.

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.

Monitor and assess progress, ensuring excellent outcomes for all learners.

Contribute positively to departmental planning and enrichment activities.

Holds QTS (or equivalent) and has experience teaching Psychology at KS4 & KS5.

Confident to deliver aspects of Health & Social Care if required.

Passionate, organised, and committed to fostering a love of learning.

Open to both experienced teachers and strong ECTs.

Ofsted-rated Good with a supportive leadership team and excellent student behaviour.

Collaborative department with strong pastoral care and academic focus.
